Product Description

A fine-quality writing box complete with inkwell, leather-covered slope. The parquetry decoration and fine marquetry sailing ship may leed one to believe that it was specially made for someone. Writing slopes were used as travelling desks. They sometimes have a drawer for stationary and other accessories. Some have a removal pen tray.

We sell them rather well as a gift for a special occasion: graduation, retirement.
