A delicate balance
This house was a 'new-build' with the great fortune of having a spacious living room, we soon had a concept and the fun began. The house is particularly well served with sunlight and natural warmth. It was up to the furniture plan to break down the space into conversation-size groups that would work. This house has a spacious but welcoming interior with an inspiring mix of old and new.
The art of display
The clients have collected for many years. It was of great importance to find the correct space to make their treasures look interesting. This all comes down to the art of display. We designed these built-in shelves and then carefully grouped these objects together in order to create the most impact.
Curtains
The deep red curtains make the large space more intimate. Because of the large amount of sunlight we not only lined the curtains but also placed screens (Verosol) to protect the upholstered furniture, antiques & paintings. Functional and decorative window treatment is incorporated in most of my designs. We have an extensive collection of materials such as: Osborne & Little, Nina Cambell, Beacon Hill, Robert Allen, Aritex, Ian Sanderson, Titley & Marr, Romo and many more. Our blinds and curtains are made and fitted to the highest standard. We also supply Luxaflex and Verosol products.
