A room with a view
In collaboration with our client we set out to convert this once rather dated 1970's house to one full of charm. The breathtaking views of the lake needed to play an important part when redesigning the floor plan. After the architecture had been finalised. We focused on a palette of whites, creames and beiges as they are both neutral and warm. It's amazing how well all these neutral colours work together to give you a gentle background for the eclectic mix of antiques, old paintings, and contemporary furniture and lighting. For the finishing touch we brought in splashes of purple, our clients favourite colour, to add character to the room. With all our clients it is vital to reflect their own personality in ways that make them feel comfortable in their own homes.

Curtains
How you dress a window can range from minimal and inexpensive to elaborate and dear, but in either case the overall treatment will occupy a large part of your field of vision. Because of the great views we opted for a simple but beautiful quality linen material that hangs gracefully to the floor. The blinds and curtains are made to the hightest standard.
Upholstery and cushions
A delicate balance should be serene but not boring. We believe placing something unexpected, like a well loved chair from grandma; dressed in a material with a fun trim or cord or a cushion with a fanciful ball fringe will add panache to any room. A reupholstery service is available at Howarths.
